Glockster I very much appreciate your status as a Site Supporter and your contributions as a member here on INGO. Scutter is one of the best moderators I have ever seen on the interwebs and fpdshooter is a close friend of mine and of this board. Both gentlemen have every right to express their opinions in this thread and fpd made a very interesting point regarding how images and videos can be taken out of context. In the great words of Ice Cube please check yourself before you wreck yourself.

    Fenway - In charge

As one who actually participated in the walk, I'd like to thank Savage Eagle, ATF and everyone else who participated. It was a modest beginning, but a beginning nonetheless. To those of you who were not there and are big enough *******s to take potshots at how anything was done, I say this: Scutter-you don't deserve to be a moderator on this forum and I implore whoever is in charge to de-commission you. FDPshooter is simply a troll and his account should be unplugged. Everything today was done properly. For you to criticize ANYTHING when you weren't there just shows that you are simply *******s. **** you. You are traitors to the cause.

    :+1:

Even though Fenway or fpdshooter or Scutter don't need that from me. I just think we are quick to go nasty sometimes, and I'm glad Fenway stepped in to square the situation. Hard to argue with the contributions of both fpdshooter and Scutter.

So, what you're saying is that I'm not allowed to ask a question about one of the photos without being a "traitor to the cause"? Funny, because I had two other people in the thread that managed to give a perfectly reasonable explanation without getting bent out of shape. If you didn't want comments about the walk (especially from people who weren't there), then why bother having it at all? Why bother taking pictures and posting them on the internet? Why bother notifying the news media?

They both went wrong here criticizing the participants who actually acted on something rather than just sit at a keyboard and bang out an opinion. They both owe the participants an apology. If you can't see that, then this forum has no benefit for me.

I was at NFA day; sorry I wasn't there. Sorry Savage, I'm a traitor...

note to self: 'don't ever accuse other gunowners of being traitors to the gun culture'....

I disagree with almost everything you just said. I was not criticizing anything, I was asking for a clarification of what was shown in the photo, which I got.

If you can't see that, then this forum has no benefit for me.

Sorry to hear you're leaving. We'll miss you.

    Well said mettle.

Now that the walk went well, the "I told you so" crowd will come out. And all us of that didn't participate are not patriots and are traitors to the cause.

The important thing is to build on the success of this walk. To do that, you must bring people together, not ensure that we stay fractured. That is the sign of leadership and a true leader.

    Consider the Walk a Success

Amazing afternoon. Great weather for a stroll downtown. Not enough thanks to give for SE and ATF for organizing the event and for the flyers/stickers that were printed up. Local PD escort professional and greatly appreciated. Now if I can figure out how to post pics I will start in with them.

    ^ What he said ^

The event went well. The most important thing is that we had no problems with the people we encountered, no accidental (nor intentional!) firearm discharges, and no problems with the authorities. Secondarily, the stated goal for the walk, educate our fellow Hoosiers about our rights to lawfully keep and bear arms, was accomplished.

Many people were surprised, some even shocked, to see us walking around with so much firepower. But the combined PR efforts of those walking, plus the fact that we had a few IMPD squad cars rolling along with us nearby seemed to dispel their fright and encourage them to take some of the information we were handing out.

The info, provided by ATF Consumer, was very well done! Reps to him for doing such a great job and being willing to provide that service to the community.

Finally, thanks to SavageEagle for getting the ball rolling on this, and for not being dissuaded or discouraged by all the resistance he met. Based on the success of this event, I'm looking forward to the opportunity to do it again.

(Photos coming as soon as I get them off my phone.)

Ok, so these guys all claim to be true patriots, right?

Yet look in the National Anthem picture...several people are not covering their hearts, one guys has his hat still on, no one is even looking at the freaking flag...and worst of all, the frakking Gadson flag is held higher than our American flag!

These guys don't respect the flag, let alone deserve to carry it, especially under the guise of Patriotism and a "rights" march.

It is easy to spout off about being a "true" patriot when the word has no meaning to you. This picture is an offense to the flag, my country, and anyone who has served it.

I'm sorry it is harsh, but it is the truth the way I see it.

So, what you're saying is that I'm not allowed to ask a question about one of the photos without being a "traitor to the cause"? Scutter, I've tried to stay out of this, but if you don't see how offensive FPD's post is then you must be biased. It's easy for everyone to see how this could set someone off as he's blatantly slamming people for something he didn't fully understand. He's slammed this whole event from day one along with a few others and after slam after slam, only when someone from the group spoke up did any moderator step in and say something or delete posts. Even Fenway took up for this offensive post.

Now, I'm not slamming anyone here, but I personally feel that it's not right that someone can slam us members for DOING something, but yet we get punished for speaking up about it. That's just my opinion and how I see things. Maybe I'm wrong, but no one slams someone like FPD did and then expect there not to be a backlash.

Our event proved everyone who said it would go bad wrong. Every single negitive comment was proven wrong. ESPECIALLY about asking for permission, or the comments about it going awry. Every single negitive scenario was moot today. Everyone had fun, everyone had the UTMOST respect for everything and everyone. Never once did we slam people for not coming with us without some kind of joke involved, but yet we were slammed time and time again. Mainly just me, but those slams included everyone attending as well.

I hope the Appleseed and NFA Day went as well as our day went.

Excuse me, but fpdshooter can defend his own post. My comments referred specifically to mine and the accusation that I am somehow a traitor. That's something that I don't appreciate, given that I just asked a question about the posted photo.

I would never call any of you traitors. I would never tell you I told anyone I told you so had I not been slammed so bad prior to the event.

I do thank you all for the support, there or not.

There will be more walks, but more importantly I would like us ALL to get involved on the local level in politics. The best place to start is locally.

Like Plainfield has ordinances about carry in the parks. The State Laws should pre-empt that. We need to change ordinances like that. The only way to do that is get involved. So let's get involved people!!! :D

I never said anything about your post. I understood your confusion. Unfortunately, there were no pictures of us singing the National Anthem, unless someone got video, because we were ALL facing the flag and singing.

I understood your confusion but before I could respond others had.
