Original WWII M-1 Carbine

My father is a WWII veteran of the Pacific. He recently lost his wife of over 50 years. Every time we go to a gun show and he sees an M-1 carbine, he has to handle it and it takes him back to the time when he carried one as a young man. He has a photo of himself in the Phillipines holding his M-1 carbine. He is from the old school and wouldn't consider buying one for himself. I would like to find him one for Christmas. I would like it to be an original with the "L" sight and in nice shape. I need to keep the cost as reasonable as possible. I thought I'd start the search here. If you have one or any leads, please let me know.
