Pretending to be all tactical or smarter than the Four Rules isn't worth the colostomy bag for the next few decades.

Even down here in the far south of the state, there is that element of uneducated, fearful antis who will latch onto anything they can find to spotlight their argument.
Stupid is as stupid does. SMDH
booger hook on the bang switch?
They will suck that snake right into their food blisters every, single, frickin' time.
"eet ain't no ways low-dead."
Hey, if you had to think about the phrase "booger hook on the bang switch" then it accomplished my goal...SAFETY!! Most folks just gloss over posts and loose the major points. Why are you guys writing this way? Do you speak in this sort of slang?
I think I decoded most of this, but what on earth does suck that snake into food blisters mean in this context?
I appreciate the etiquette lesson as I'm sure some of us do.Generally slang is used to exclude or create the illusion of exclusivity rather than make people think, which seems opposite the stated intentions. Pithy sayings like Cooper's Four Rules stick in the head but full on slang is usually an Us vs Them tool.
I get that building one's internet personality involves a good dose of the above to stand out from the crowd but a gun safety thread is, to me, a strange place to be working on that.
I knew it wouldn't take long for someone to get defensive. I'm not suggesting the Federal Government take steps to prevent anyone from translating the Four Rules to slang, so the Constitution doesn't figure in in any way at all.
The only thing I'm suggesting is that if the actual goal is to promote gun safety to a broader audience it might be that employing slang is hurting rather than helping. If that isn't the actual goal, carry on. If anyone disagrees and believes the slang helps, I'm asking for their thoughts on why.
That is all.
I am not arguing for repeal of the First Amendment, or even that INGO ban slang.

Why the hell would anyone treat a gun like anything other than what it is, a gun?
It looked like the gun was radar controlled. As my SIL kept walking, the old dude unintentionally followed him with the muzzle.
