Got my sheets and pillowcases in the wash. Didn't get around to them over the weekend.

I've done all kinds of car, bike, boat, casket hardware, parts and worked on sax/clarinet mouthpieces for several years.
Vulcanized rubber polishes like glass. I've polished hundreds of pieces of Ebonite.

I used to consider myself an accomplished buffer.
Biggest craze during that era and landscape for me was about those insane jet boats with blown dragster engines.

LOTS of cast aluminum to make shiny.

Well, my routine got interrupted this weekend because of the Mothers Day guests! Sheets and pillowcases are usually a weekend thing. Other laundry goes in the wash as soon as there's a load.

New vehicles leave nothing to shine. They are all plastic now.
But we have a hot rod scene and I've done parts for a lot of guys.
I've done semi wheels, down to 14" wheels.

The first part I ever polished, was a torque converter cover off a '83 Camaro. I did it mostly just to see if I could.
