    I'm curious how you can tell there are Chinese rifles in there? The reporting seems to focus on potential transport from Iran.

    Also, the Aussie intercept is old news. The French made a similar stop more recently:

    Too bad they can't/won't bring them all back here for public sale.

    In a righteous world, they would be auctioned off to the public of the confiscating country with the proceeds used to help defray the cost of enforcing the embargo. It could even be viewed as a form of voluntary taxation wherein if you don't believe in the embargo, you simply skip the auction, or if you support the embargo you go and bid full market (or higher) value depending upon your own conscience and means. Everybody wins except for the smuggler and illegal purchaser.
