I bought a set for the 9mm but the back housing isn't wide enough for the screws to align up. All other grips that I have bought, it didn't make a difference on caliber but for some reason the pachmayer signature grips that wrap around are not as wide. I have contacted Pachmayer and waiting for a response will update at a later date. Thanks for the info

What year is your Sig 226? You might be encountering a problem where the mainspring seat is not compatible with your grips.
Example below are a W. German 226(bottom) and German-framed 226(top). Notice the differences.

I have both styles of mainspring seats (2 pistols). Both of mine have rubber Houge grips. 1st set are just grip panels are on a pistol like the top one in the photo, no issue.
2nd set are wrap around finger groove on a pistol like the bottom one. I had to dremel the inside of the back strap of the grips (rubber) to clear the spring and housing.
