Page redirecting to non-INGO website???

Ok .. I was reading along in this thread ..

and I use the page navigation bar at the top or bottom of the screen to go to the next page .. But when I click to go to page 5 (only in FireFox) I get redirect to...

I tried it in IE and it doesn't happen .. Its only in Firefox?? It happens if I click directly on the 5 as well as if I hit the > from page 4 or the < from page 6. No matter what I cannot get that link to go to page 5 of that thread ?!?!?

I just tried changing the URL directly ..

I changed the 6 to a 5 on the above URL and it STILL redirected me to the Monster/Kimber webpage ?!?!

Obviously I don't care I can get around the problem with IE and be on with my day .. I'm more worried about the forums having a possible security issue.

I just opened up page 5 of the thread in Chrome and it works .. while doing so I saw that post #2 by JTinIN has the same image in his post that is hosted on the Monster/Kimber page that I am being redirected to ... and in his post there seems to be a broken pic or link or link as well.

I've also been getting redirected off of INGO and into porn sites. I was just in Political Discussions, and attempting to open the thread on why we had to drop the A-bombs, when my browser was hijacked, and sent to badoink.com, an imitation of the Apple app store that urged me to download their BaDoink App HD. It skipped through several pages getting there, and in attempting to backtrack, one of them was afreelifetimeluckbook.com.

I realize this is probably from code embedded in an ad, and unfortunately, I can't tell you which one displayed when I was redirected. I'm running an iPad 1st gen with current software. A similar event happened yesterday, but I didn't make notes at the time.

That's why I suspect a banner ad that loaded when the page opened, and caused the redirect. Could have been any page/thread. Just happened to be that one.

Funny, I just did post in a thread that Anthony may or not be occasionally perusing to inform that my antivirus is alerting me to a problem on this site. The potentially harmful warning is showing up at the top/bottom of every page in the advertising space...

Edit: It is being monitored. My post just disappeared from that thread. LOL, I guess removing the post makes the problem go away. In all fairness, it was the wrong thread to put my post but I wanted to make them aware that a moneymaker is affecting their forum...

I had the same thing happen to me on my android phone. Sounds like some kind of mobile only redirect.

Clear your browser cache. The offending ads are gone for me and I don't even see the "you're blocking our sponsor's ads" message anymore.

Is there anything we can do to keep this from happening? This has happened twice on my iPad. Same disgusting web site! Is there any danger of anything bad happening? How does a site that I have never been to just pop up on my iPad? And from INGO?
