Has anyone filled in engraving with paint. I have a DuraCoat black lower but after engraving, I want to fill it in red but obviously I would have to brush it in. I'd rather hear someones experience before I screw it up.

I use Testor's enamel model paint because then I can remove it easily, but it still holds up to cleaning.

You can use fingernail polish and it cleans up overspill very well with polish remover.
