Painting on white dots

Anyone out there have an opinion for painting white dots on blued steel sights? If so how did it turn out? I would like to have this feature on a snubbie revolver- but wouldn't want to do it at the expense of a poor result(devaluing the gun, ruining the finish, etc.) For anyone who is in question, the 3-dot system featured on many of your semi-autos, and- maybe a few of those wheel guns?

Use model paint or nail polish. It can be removed without hurting the gun.

Have used nail polish to do many a gun sight and also color in the lettering with no ill effects.

You could use glow paint and get white dots plus night sights (though they require charging from a light source, such as a flashlight).

I kew officers who would use an orange crayon.

It's cheap. You can also have a gunsmith drill out the side of the ramp and mold in a plastic red ramp. I've had that done to two of my revolvers. That was over 25 years ago. They are still there.

Very carefully drill 2 dimples in the back of the sight. Then use a toothpick to fill them with Testors model paint.

nail polish , had my wife do my sights (shes more dexterous than i ) , she had a little nail polish "pen" and just dotted really easy, i asked her and she said the pen was like $4-$5

Nail Polish? You should practice first on you wifes toenails. She may just like you doing that for her. When your wife likes what you do for her, your world becomes so much better.

I use 2-3 coats of neon orange paint from a hobby store after drying good cover with clear finger nail polish. Drilling small holes has all ways been hard for me.
