I've got a batch of dough in the bread machine (I am lazy I only use the dough setting) When it is done I'll divide it, make the rolls, let them rise again bake them and have fresh bread with the scratch stew that is on the stove.

It just occurred to me I have a bread machine that I haven’t used in 10 years. I think maybe I’ll dig it out. Fresh bread sounds good.

Mine burned up and my kids got me a new one for Christmas.

I only made the bread in the machine a couple of times, now I only use the dough setting.

I make quite a bit of Chinese bao stuffed with different things.

My dad made bread at home.
One batch, he forgot yeast? Or not enough? Whatever makes it rise. They were small and concentrated but full of flavor. I had friends over (all the time) and we ate some together. They were OK but I thought nothing of it. It's just bread.

I come home one day and a few friends were just leaving my house saying goodbye to my dad on their way out. They had talked him into making a bunch of yeastless bread loafs so they could buy them.

My dad was my friends' dealer.
That was weird.
