UPDATE: I took the shotgun to the range yesterday. It performed flawlessly. I shot birdshot shells through it for the first 10 or so then fed it 00 buck. Yes, it kicks hard, but I was loving it. My wife liked the shotgun, but not enough to clean it for me. HAHA!

You will like it! My first 2 deer were taken with an old iver Johnson 12 gauge, looks just like yours- I added a rear sight from a BB gun, held on with a hose clamp. Not pretty, but effective slug gun out to 50 yards or so Enjoy!
