Just a quick public service about proper maintenance and safety...
Got a call from marines in my unit who are in california training.
my armorers had their rights read to the for failing to provide maintenance records (which luckily were just misplaced and has since been cleared up) because an M2 50 cal apparently exploded in a gunners face during a live fire exercise. Luckily no one was hurt but the investigation revealed that the gunner did not properly headspace and time the weapon. Wont give any details... but please remember to double check everything to avoid injury and catastrophic damage to the weapon.
