Dems keep widdling away at rights, and soon we'll all never be able to open our mouths or leave our houses without the possibility of being incarcerated as political prisoners. Also, we'll never know when we broke the law, because the laws will be too long and complex to ever learn in a single lifetime.

We need smaller government, simplified laws, and simplified taxes. America will collapse if we don't turn this ship around now.

She gets it. She is a committed socialist, but has very little if any common sense. A social elitist who wants to be part of a small cadre that controls our lives.

You have never lived in California have you? Or have any family there either?

Because if you had or did, you would not need to ask that question.

I was being half serious / half sarcastic...should have used 50/50 regular and purple text I guess! :D

I have visited once, and actually loved it (San Jose and LA area). Have a couple of good friends out there from college, but I myself have never lived out there. So, while I've heard a lot of "Commi-fornia" bashing, I don't have any first hand evidence of it.

I can't bear to watch the video, but the synopsis indicates they want to exclude corporations from being considered citizens for the purpose of free speech.

Would that apply to the MSM as well?

Might be worth a try. :):

Wonder if the MSM will take this grabbing their ankles?

    Has hell frozen over?

A progressive actually seeking to change the government/law by using the amendment process? Have they given up on the courts adjudicating their legislation for them?

This is great--yeah, let's put the issue of stifling public, political speech up for a vote. We'll find out if we're truly lost or not.

I think her purpose is to limit campaign finance associated with corporations funding Super PACs. This campaign season has been seriously distorted due to the amazing amounts of money flowing into Super PACs. "I didn't make that crazy, negative commercial, my personal SPAC that I am somehow not responsible for did." How about some transparency for who are influencing campaigns?

The subject of secession comes up periodically. Is there a way to kick a state out of the union?

The problem is that the 'solutions' to this problem are generally engineered to silence only the non-individual speakers on one side of the aisle. If rights are going to be infringed, they should at minimum be infringed equally, not such that some groups (corporations for example) are silenced while others (unions, for example) continue uninhibited as the (highly unsurprisingly) support democrats with their huge amounts of spending.

What I have gathered is, that many office holders believe the voters are
stupid. When I listen to certain office holders I am amazed that they were
elected at all, not to mention reelected after saying things that are clear
    insults to anyone who listens.
Here Ms. Pelosi is under the belief that voters can't find the truth, they are
blinded by the expensive commercial propaganda... from both sides.
Now that there is internets and stuff we can search for info about both sides,
from both sides. Maybe there are a lot of ignorant, lazy, and apparently
blind and deaf voters. Not me. I can hear when someone calls me stupid.
I can see voting records, and who approves of the actions performed by
those in office. I pray that God would open the eyes and ears of other
    US citizens.:patriot:

There is much truth both in your point and in the politicians view of voters. I have noticed this characterization to be particularly true of those whose votes are bought with tax money who appear to lack critical thinking skills beyond that of who promises them the most. No surprise that leftists would be particularly sensitive here!
