I must be out of the loop here. What happens on July 1st?
The "no guns on the Monon" regulation becomes history. Sadly, the person shot would likely not be carrying then, either.I must be out of the loop here. What happens on July 1st?

From Carmel down through Indy. Carmel parks was always surprising to me, being that it's supposedly a gop bastion. Guess their monument building mayor has more than a bit of the lefty gene in him. Indy never surprised me.wow, I didn't know there was a "no guns" policy on the Monon to begin with

This didn't happen. There are NO GUNS IN A GUNFREE ZONE! Therefore, it couldn't happen.
Don't know. It just appears on their park rules, in Indy. It's hit or miss for signs in Carmel. I avoid the Monon in Indy, because it's a victim disarmament zone.Is there a sign on the trail indicating the border? That could be useful information.
What about other local parks? I know that the sign at Washington Township Park says no firearms...If no one has the answer I'll just look at the bill. Another thought, there is a park outside Avon Town hall. Would I be able to carry there as well?Pertains to ALL Indianapolis City Parks.
For a few more days...

All those park signs that tout no firearms will be rendered moot come July 1st. We'll be good to go.What about other local parks?
