Petition for NFA changes

Proper Appropriation of Voluntary Tax Dollars Generated by The NFA Branch of the BATFE. - The Petition Site

The petition basically calls for the ATF to actually use the revenue the NFA branch brings in to improve the NFA center. Adding additional examiners (apparently one of them is retiring in November), creating a computer system instead of paper forms, and dealers using NICS to do the background checks.

Is there proposed legislation? It seems the only way to actually force the BATF to do just about anything would be an executive order (ha!) or an act of [strike]God[/strike] Congress.
