So I finished ready Ayoobs book of concealed carry and He brought up a very good positive of a pistol light. This only works if the light protrudes past the muzzle. With a light that does protrude past the muzzle, the gun can be pressed into an assailant and fired. Without the light the gun would be pressed out of battery and not fire. He also cites several cases where this happened and it saved the officers life.

I have been eyeing the Olight Valkyrie for my xds9. I think it would be a good combo and still compact for night EDC. It is the only light that I know if that can run off secondary batteries. I hate buying primaries.

It works with an XC1 on my P229 since the battery cap extends just far enough out, I am not willing to run a larger light on my carry pistol as that makes it allot bigger in the holster and not as comfortable to carry. I only run Surefire lights as well so its either the XC1 or X300U
