If you take an AR pistol and put a vertical forward grip on it, it becomes an AOW. If you put a stock on it, it becomes an SBR.

What if you took an SBR, put a vertical forward grip on it, and then removed the stock. Is it still an SBR or an AOW now?

My understanding is that if you have the stamp for an SBR, the rest of the configuration doesn't really matter. So, VFG doesn't change anything. Taking the stock off makes it an uncomfortable SBR.
