I am about to buy a used contender with a 7mm bbl with scope and lots of extras (hard carry case, Shoulder holster, extra pistol grips, forarms) in an estate sale. We have agreed on a price of 250$. One problem is that I looked through the scope and I do not see a set of cross hairs. Is there a pistol scope out there without a set of reticles? Maybe there is a on/off switch to make a red dot or something?

This may sound like a stupid question but I have never owned a pistol scope and I am not sure. I think it still could be a good deal even with a broken scope for 250$. What do you think.

I don't know about the scope ,but it is still a great buy. It may be a red dot, the one that I had,if the battery went dead ...you saw nothing. Scope or not , buy it anyway. Look on gun broker, I didn't see any cheaper that about $450.00 starting bid.

    Thanks

yes that is what I was thinking. There is some wear on the reciever from opening up the action but still a good deal so i will probably buy it. Looks like I can find used barrels. It comes with the 7 MM TCU but I would like to pick up the 44 or 45/410 as well.
