We've recently become interested in clay shooting. We've shot trap a few times at our local Izaak Walton, and we recently shot sporting clays at the Howard Co Izaak. Trap shooting practice is winding down for the year around here, and the sporting clays were fun, but expensive. We haven't tried skeet yet. Are there some other places to try?
    Thanks :)

Roush Lake (Huntington) has, I think, both Trap and Skeet year round. Price for Skeet is (I know this is fact) $5 per round. Don't know about the Trap??????

I live in kokomo, and have never been to the izaak walton club here.

I used to hunt up north of rochester, and right off of 31, behind the Fulton County Historical Society (where the Trail of Courage is held) is the Fulton County Gun Club. They do skeet there. They also have a 200 yd rifle range for members. (used to be something crazy like 15 bucks several years ago).

Provided that you have somewhere to set one up. Consider purchasing a thrower.
There are some affordable 3/4 cock double throwers out there that would provide you with plenty of different presentations.
I have an older Outers Flightmaster that is still a lot of fun to drag out.
