    Outside the coup
I can not bring myself to read the article.

It's short and worth it for a laugh.
    Highlights.

    California cop in Reno.
Paid $70 in his hotel room for a hooker.
Woke up and badge, gun, cuffs stolen.
    Pimp gets gift.
    Pimp acts tough, shoots himself.
    Hooker is arrested for prostitution.
Cop is not arrested or fired.
Lawyer says he was drugged so he could be "victimized".
Cop is [STRIKE]fired[/STRIKE] suspended later for (wait for it...) "conduct unbecoming an officer off-duty"
We are not permitted to feel bad for him because...

He will continue in his role as head of the Kensington police union and as the second-highest compensated officer, earning $186,000 in cash and benefits, according to public records.

“There are often problems with these tiny little departments,”

Who makes $186,000 in a tiny department?

Edit: Made correction. The tears from laughter clouded my vision and I read suspended as fired.

It was the head of the Kensington police union, not the chief of police. He's also a sergeant in the department.

The entire Kensington PD has fifteen (15) members, including two part-time civilians, serving an unincorporated community of about 5000 people near San Francisco, California. There's a Chief, a master sergeant, two sarges, a corporal, five officers, three reserve officers. And a union. ?? As sergeant, the [STRIKE]hero [/STRIKE]chump of our storay makes about $186,000 per year.

His attorney says the lady of the night in question spiked his drink and stole his badge, handcuffs, badge, gun, and two magazines. the linked article says he was only suspended, not fired. Might be different info elsewhere.

And people make fun of Florida.

You figure if he made $186,000 he could afford a better class of woman.

A better class of women are not free. $70 is just about free. A better class of women require dinner with real table cloths, courting, and demands. I think I will look for $70 dollar women and hide my gun.

“(Taylor) drugged Sgt. Barrow’s drink in order to take advantage of and victimize him,” Barrow’s attorney, Justin Buffington told reporters.

I'm going to need to see pictures of Taylor to see if Barrow was actually victimized.

I would also like to find out how to apply for his job. I'm quite willing to take the pay raise, and I promise to not be drugged by hookers and let them steal my gun. I'll lock it up first.

In Vegas and he picks a dumpy $70 hooker.....He had to be drugged.

"Yes your honor, my client maintains that he was drugged and not in control of his actions. Take into account where he was and the fact he chose a $70 escort. With his salary he could have easily afforded the premium model yet he chose not too. This clearly indicates he was under the influence of a foreign substance."
