    Let's start with this one.

This tactic is so despicable a similar meme from 2016 is still live on Twitter, BUT, the difference is it was directed at Trump voters...

I used to laugh at the UK for going after people for Facebook posts but I guess were not much different now.

I think this more of a disparity of punishment than a free speech issue.
Is one not free to make a meme saying anything? Even if it is wrong? Can the house at the T road not put a sign in their yard saying landfill with an arrow pointing right even though the landfill is left because they despise the trucks?

The tweets - and memes - in question are 100% protected speech. The alleged crime is (18 USC 241) involves conspiring to "injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate", for which the tweets - and memes - in question provide zero evidence.

Since Rep. Liz Cheney voted to impeach President Trump earlier this month, Trump loyalists have taken a growing interest in Wyoming politics as calls for her removal as House GOP Conference Chair have begun to escalate. ;)

Are they going to go after CNN and other mainstream news channels as well?

If "spreading election disinformation" is a crime then those folks reach a much larger audience than a single dude posting memes on Twitter.

Also if you rely exclusively on internet memes to pick a presidential candidate you're a real moron.
That should be the real issue there.

Unless this dude was in the voting booth with a gun and forcing people to vote for his candidate he didn't intimidate anyone.

    Tyrants gonna tyrant

Just another example of progressives engaging in the activities they attempt to pin on conservatives so they can fake outrage, bring about yet another group of victims and further solidify their complete lack of character. Scum of the earth.

"In her speech, she notes that we cannot allow free speech to get into the way of fighting things like climate change. She notes that they cannot win the war on climate change if people do not believe them about the underlying problem. The solution is to silence those with opposing views. It is that simple."
In her latest attack on free speech, Ardern declared free speech as a virtual weapon of war.

She is demanding that the world join her in battling free speech as part of its own war against “misinformation” and “disinformation.”

More about her UN podium speech at the link...but in short she got quite a bit of applause for her encouraging countries, corporations, and in general censoring anyone with an opposing view.

Oh,and Harvard immediately gave her a fellowship(within hours).

Free speech is now viewed as a weapon of war by the lunatics.

    .
This is scary, so many things in recent years like it. I thought it had hit a high water mark with the President denouncing unvaccinated Americans as apostates and plague carriers. I can see this is still going on.

This ruling by Judge Ikram introduces a troubling standard in legal interpretation. By inferring a grossly offensive meaning from a meme and considering this sufficient for a conviction, the court has ventured into the realm of punishing perceived implications, a move that blurs the lines between actual speech and inferred meanings.

This latest development, where judges adjudicate on the supposed implications of a message, escalates the risk of arbitrary judicial decisions. The problem is compounded in the realm of digital communication, where context and tone are crucial and often misunderstood.

The concern is that now, even private messages can be criminalized based on a judge’s own interpretation and mind-reading, rather than the facts at hand or actual acts carried out.

This precedent sets a dangerous tone for freedom of expression, especially online where satire and irony are common, and messages are often private.

Things like this WILL happen here unless we start pushing back now.
