    Schools should be funded differently than with the property tax. Very few that sent kids to public schools have paid enough in their life in property tax for what it cost to send their kids through the schools.
    I disagree. The primary recipients of the added value a high quality school system brings to real estate prices are the property owners, and thus the property owners should willingly invest in the school system. My own suburb has excellent schools and a levy has never failed. I don't have children in the system but I know that it adds at least another $200k to the value of my house. Considering we have our own excellent police and fire and a streamlined, responsive and competent city government and what taxes I pay are a relative bargain

    Most houses in the town sell with multiple offers in 5 to 10 days and usually at or above asking price
