While browsing various firearms related info I came across something of interest and thought I would share.

Glocks, HK's and some of the Kahr's use this rifling. Suppose to be more accurate.

Some people contend that it doesn't make much difference unless its in a rifle barrel. All I know for sure is that both my Jericho 941 and Kahr PM45 have polygonal rifling and they are very accurate handguns.

Also some Noveske barrels (the stainless ones, I believe).

My Baby Eagle in 9MM had it. It was a breeze to clean.

Desert Eagles do too. I know they have solved at least one murder because the only .44 handgun with polygonal rifling was the DE.

My cz82 is a very accurate for what is is and the price I like it its easier to clean than lands and grooves especially if its chrome lined

Whether polygonal or traditional my pistols are capable of far better accuracy than I am but I keep trying!

My CZ82 and G17 are rifled this way, very easy to clean and seem to be pretty accurate relative to my other centerfire handguns.

Try some lead bullets and see how accurate it is. With jacketed bullets the only thing I think it does is keep the bore a bit cleaner because there is no cutting into the bullet. Personally I don't think its worth the sacrifice of the ability to shoot lead.

I think you are way better off with the lesson being: Don't commit murder...

You are bound to forget something. like did you remember to wear gloves when you loaded your magazine??? I guess that would be a good argument for a revolver, oh well we are getting sidetracked.
