Been a couple weeks, but I was wanting to buy a Glock 19. I usually drive to pop guns to shoot, and like to buy everything else at Bradis. But at the time, I had a busy Saturday planned, but I really wanted to get that 19. Since Pop guns is closer to me, I called them and asked what the price was, which is quite a bit higher. So I asked the him, (don't know the name, but he has a very rough voice) if he could match the price at Bradis. Told him he was closer, but Bradis was cheaper, and it would be doing me a huge favor.
Well, he yelled at me. Said I might as well go somewhere else because they wouldn't lose any sales. They charge 15% more than anyone else because they can, and they still sell the most firearms around.
So, I bought the 19 at Bradis. From a very nice older man, who talked me into getting the extended thumb release.
I'll never buy from pops, don't like getting yelled at, but I'll still shoot there til I can find a better place

Sorry you had a bad experience. It might depend on the day. Mike and Gary are really nice and they typicall work on Sundays. I've been a memeber for shooting at Pop Guns for over a year and always have a good time. There are some gruff guys there but hey, you find difficult people every where you go. I've engaged the gruff guys in conversation and they do open up. Face to face is better than over the phone. Retail is tought and I'm sure retail selling guns is even tougher. I'm not making excuese for rude behavior just offering a different perspective.

Anytime i have the choice of anybody versus Bradis, I'll pick Bradis everytime. It just sucks i am so far from them now.

Who cares what their brass collection policy is?
You paid for it, it's yours.
Pick it up if you want it or sweep it out of the way if you don't.

These stories just seem to pop up all the time don't they?
I'm tired of getting treated poorly, having friends treated poorly, and hearing about others being treated poorly there.
Time to go shoot somewhere else.

I won't buy any merchandise there, the prices are ridiculous and customer service is terrible. I bought a new KelTec P32 there. Took it home cleaned and oiled it and returned to try it out at the range the next day. I fired four rounds through it when it broke. Did they replace it, no. I had to send it back to KelTec.
I'll go there to shoot in winter because as far as an indoor range they are the only game in town (forget Don's). However, the ventilation sucks (or doesn't)!!! I have left after a session at the range and spent the next hour blowing black stuff out of my nose.

I've never heard of a gun shop replacing a firearm because it was broken... sending it back to the factory is a pretty standard operating procedure. I will, however, agree with the rest of your post. Pop Guns is unfriendly and expensive. No reason to return to the store.

Never heard of a gun shop taking a return on a broken product - wouldn't hold it against them.

QFT. Their ventilation is a nightmare.

Sorry, didn't make myself clear. My carp wasn't that they didn't replace it, but that I had to send it back for repair. Hadn't had it 24 hours.

yeah, that pretty much blows. i had a good sale at pops when i bought my first gun. but every time i show up looking around, they try and shove a 1500 dollar kimber down my throat when im looking at backup guns. bradis seems to be the way to go, even if it is way out of the way.

I have never been to POP guns. The reason? I have never heard a good word put in for them. Long before I joined this forum I heard lots of negative and the very few positive comments were only Luke Warm at best.

There are too many really good shop's around with great people and good prices to have to put up with any B.S.

I'm not condemning POP guns out right. Like I said I have never been there. But until I start hearing some good things about the place I will stick with the shops that people rave about.
