Posting Photos from Imgur to INGO

I believe there is a way to do that on the ingo sight. Not done it myself but I am sure I have seen this there.

If on Imgur, I just edit there (use edit feature).
You will see the orig size posted to the upper right.
just change the first to the size you want then take your cursor off that and click the pic, and the other will change automatically to maintain aspect ratio.
Save it.
Then put your cursor on the upper right of the pic and an arrow will appear, can select "share link" from menu.
Copy and paste the lower left link (of the 4 choices) directly into your thread.

Note that sometimes the link will have a "?1" right before the last image quote mark [/img].
Remove those (the question mark and number one) and it will work.

Just happens some times.

If your original pic is too big you may get an upload error, or it will just stick in an upload loop and do nothing.
3 meg will choke it IIRC.

I am on a couple of other forums and post image doesn't work on some, Imgur hangs up too...........dicovered the latter was due to the random ?1 addition.
Yanking that has Imgur working on all my forums now.

And no..............nobody told me how. It was a bit of a PITA to figure out, got tired of using different image hosting sites (that worked intermittently).

I'll add the mobile app version.

Take you pic and select share. Find the IMGUR icon and upload it. Select Hidden if you want. Then hit POST.

Once it's posted, it will say VIEW in the upper right hand corner, where POST was. Tap it.

Then this screen will pop up. Notice the green SHARE button. That link that you copy won't post on INGO for some reason. You need to tap the picture again to get to this screen below.

Notice the black bar at the bottom with the download arrow, the heart and another share triangle. The link in that share triangle works on INGO. Select it, copy to clipboard and paste it into the IMG window of your post.



NOTICE. This is for Android. It works for me. Apple may be different.

As of August 1, a notification popped up saying that due to low traffic on their web page I had to go through the app on my Android device, so I thought I'd bump this.

I have the Imgur app on my iPhone, but I can’t get this process to work. I copy the link from Imgur, and then click the photo icon here. I then select “from URL,” and copy the link, but it says it’s invalid. What am I doing wrong? I don’t see the triangle icon like in the OP.

Unselected the automatically checked box next to "Retrieve remote file and reference locally"

I have always select the "copy to clipboard" (Android) and that works too.

I thought imgur went belly up like PB. I kept getting this when I clicked on my images from their home page...

Just now discovered that if I re-login from their homepage, I can then access my images. Looks like all my images are still there, from before I started getting this wrong turn message? I might have to revisit using them again.

Assuming they were problematic, I have not installed their android app. If I correctly recall the way it used to work, you had to individually upload photos, rather than have all photos taken auto-upload, (like Amazon Prime Photos and Google Photos,) right?
