where can i get started in the Terre Haute area?

Check the thread for ACT League in this forum at Riley Conservation Club. It is $35 and is a great introduction to USPSA style shooting. Also, see if you can get on reserve for ACT Competition 101 on 3/31 at RCC.

Many of us drive 1.5 to 2.0 hours to shoot a match every weekend.

I drove 2 1/2 hours each way to take one of the BFT intro to USPSA classes (it might be called intro to competition or something like that).

It poured rain down hard on us during the class.

Best I could tell, every person in the class thought that they learned things that would help them get going in the right direction and found it to be a very worthwhile endeavor.

    It was also fun.

I don't recommend the rain, although I guess it could be argued that there is something to be said for training under match day conditions.
