Is anyone shooting a precision 22lr Tactical Match in Indiana. I think this would be a great match to shoot at MCFG since it has a nice 100 yr line that is covered.

    http://youtu.be/GbHMV8G9EQk

Consists of a .22lr, scope, and really small targets like matchsticks and toothpicks at 25 yards or the video attached is of a simple 7 target swinger ranging in size of 2 inches down to 1/4 inch. Can also do larger targets at a 100 yards if you want wind to play into things. Seems like a lot of fun. Especially when .22lr ammo availability increases.

First part is a shotgun match but the last stage was a 22 stage with a star and plate racks. It's a once a year match.

This was 2014 and again 22 part is at the end. Star with 3" plates and a lot more.

This biggest problem with precision shooting with a scope in Central Indiana, is the lack of 1000 yard ranges. There are a few up north and down south, but nothing near the Indy area. So to get practice in for F/TR and try to save some money on ammo, I think it would be great to get something like this going.

If you are looking for something more fast paced, you can do something like this.

So I'm guessing by watching the video, you couldn't do this with a shotgun that only holds 4 shells, right?

Well , it depends on how good you are at reloading!!! Its a once a year match at the end of the shooting reason.

2 gun is a little different from precision .22. I like the idea of a .22 three gun match with a 12ga if .22 ammo ever comes back into stock.

The precision .22 is more for training for High Power/Snipper challenges. You can just do them in a lot shorter distance and for $8 in ammo vs $80. I was lucky enough to go shooting today with my Mossberg 155 target and a Ruger 10/22. Both were shooting sub MOA and the 10/22 was with a cheap red dot (thank you Appleseed for NPA). I can't wait to get my CZ455 in later next week. It will be great to see what a 1/2 MOA gun can do at 100 yards. I'm guessing it will have to be an informal shoot for a while until enough people get into this, but I can't wait. Seem like a great supplement to High Power target shooting.

That looks like fun. FWIW having an informal, unsanctioned match using NRA smallbore, or metric smallbore, targets would be a challenge too.
