Went to our Boy Scout camp in Muncie Friday to help with a ceremony for the youth leadership training held there last week. Had a chance to talk with the two female participants, both high school age. One was wearing a tee-shirt that said "Dwenger Rifle Team". She is on the team (duh) and told me they finished 2nd in state this year, right behind Howe Military. The other girl, when I asked what sports she did, told me "swimming and pistol shooting". Her favorite is 9mm and her family has a range on their farm.
I had gone to the range on the way to Muncie and naturally had to show them my M1893 Marlin and my 1873 Colt SAA reproduction.
Thought that was all kinda cool.
