I've used the RCBS and the Hornady tray, but both of them, the smooth half will "bounce" some of the primers as I'm filling the tube, causing them to flip anvil up.

Are there any flip trays out there that don't have that bounce?

a little piece of rubber mat might absorb enough of the shock to keep them open side down. Or a firmer grip on the tray.
I might have to try the rubber mat idea.

Right now, I'm pressing down in the middle of the tray to keep them from bouncing.

If the mat doesn't work, I'll order up one of these Dillon trays.

Not to push the Dillon koolaid, but I have a Dillon Primer flip tray and I don't have any problem with the primers changing orientation during pickup. I have never used anything else so I can't speak with any diverse experience.
