Kory, I am really trying to be nice. You don't really think magnum primers and standard primers are interchangeable, do you?

Of course it would not "hurt" anything as long as you use a load from a reloading manual that lists a magnum primer for the caliber that you want to use these primers in.

Does your reloading manual list a load using a magnum primer?

Some people "shoot from the hip" and reduce their loads by some percentage when using magnum primers instead of standard primers. A dangerous practice, IMO.

You might consider buying those magnum primers in case you are going to load 357 magnum or something else later.

Or just for trading stock. 20 bucks a thousand is a very good price.

    I resemble that remark! :D

There are only two negatives, that I know of on using Mag/Rifle primers in place of Standard Primers in most any Small primer load.
    1. Running a "Balls Out" MAX Load. (That is DUMB anyway, IMO)
    2. Running the loads in a firearm with a "Light Strike" ignition system-IOW, weapons that have been "Tuned" for the lightest operation possible.

If you have other negatives to this practice, I would like to hear them=I, like most here am "Always Learning"....Bill.
