There is no such thing as a pro-gun democrat. They may fake it, but they WILL toe the anti-gun party line when told.

The main issue isn't about hunting! Why do they always talk about hunting? There are very few Americans who hunt. Why can't they understand the issue of personal protection and if a firearm is needed, why meet your aggressor with equal or less firepower?

You beat me to this. I was already to start a thread with this link.

NRA-endorsed Senator calls for assault weapons ban

I am so sick of "hunters and noble sportsmen" who think that if they don't use a particular firearm to hunt, then only the fringe lunatics need them. This form of elitism boils my blood!

Obviously he's never met a modern hunter. I don't hunt, but even I know that the AR platform is quickly become a favorite for prairie dogs, coyote, small deer, razorback, etc.

I say we ban shotguns. I mean, with each pull of the trigger these deadly weapons spray out hundreds of pellets - and any one can kill. I don't use these instruments of destruction, because I'm noble and need only one bullet because I take aim when I'm hunting.

Every time someone mentions the 2A being for "hunting" it makes me furious. How is that even an argument at this point?

Because we have a bunch of backstabbing fudds who think that as long as the can enjoy their bird guns they can screw us with our ARs, AK, pistols, etc.

Disclaimer: a fudd is not one who simply enjoys hunting or shooting sports, but one who also seeks to restrict gun rights provided their hobby is safe. If you are a hunter and choose not to own "assault weapons," but do not seek to restrict 2nd Amendment rights, then I DO NOT lump you in that category.

I just reread the 2nd amendment to make sure but....... for the life of me I can't find a SINGLE mention of hunting.

    :dunno:

Am I reading the wrong Constitution?
