Problems with my S&W Bodyguard .380

So I took my dad shooting this past weekend up at the Roush Lake range, I let my dad try every one of my guns trying to find exactly what he would be the most comfortable with. He really enjoyed shooting my Bodyguard .380 due to it having a laser (His eyes are going bad and cant focus on the sights). After I ran a mag through it showing him how to operate it, I noticed that after firing the first shot, the laser would turn off and not come back on for 2-3 minutes. It done this three or four times before I decided not to use it. I love this little gun and I really dont use the laser, but I feel that if I paid for a laser it should work. Has anyone else had this problem, if so what did you do to fix it?

Try changing batteries or using electric contact cleaner were the battery touches. Could be just a matter of some small corrosion.
