I moved to a different in state address and am wondering what the process is to provide this information to the ATF. I had mailed a copy of my trust, stamps, amendments, and a sort letter explaining the change. However the ATF returned it requesting that I fill out a form that only seems to pertain to out of state transfers/moves. Can anyone shed some light on this?

they just now use the 5320.20 inter-state mother-may-I form now for in-state notification. Relatively recent change, a letter used to be ok. You're on the right path.

You actually don't have to notify them of an in-state move, but if you want to, just fill out the 5320.20 interstate transfer form with the new address, and in the box for "items to be returned to original location" choose "No."
