Thank GOD!!! I'm sure glad she found out a way to stop the senseless violence! Whatever would we do without her brilliant ideas?

Ms. Feinstein has introduced an AWB at the beginning of EVERY congressional session since she has been a legislator. I'm quite certain this one is going to go the same place the last 50 have gone, into file 13. She is a nut-case and every other legislator knows this, even the very liberal Democrats know she is a nut-case.

There is a chance of it passing. With the high profile crimes that have taken place in the last year. I think it has a good chance

I agree. Two weeks ago if someone asked me if it was possible for AW ban to be passed I would have said no way. In light of recent events, I would respond to the same question with an "I don't know." Things are crazy right now.

What gun control passed after the last 30 school shootings? Why will this be different?

I have to agree that elementary kids being involved makes it a whole different animal.

I personally don't believe it will pass though.

Never underestimate the stupidity of your fellow man. If nothing else, the fact that Obama was elected twice speaks volumes.

Remember rule #1 - Politicians care about getting reelected first and foremost.

If Republicans allow any sort of ban, they are gone. If Southern Democrats allow a ban, they will be gone.

They won't use the AWB method this time. Expect some extra curricular activities. This guy had the nerve to stand up there and mouth off about violence when his crew are responsible for a death count magnitudes higher in Mexico.

    18 1st graders were killed

There's always a caveat. Each shooting is the worst or most shocking for some reason or another. The fact that this involved children so young makes it particularly tragic, but politicians really don't care about dead children. They care about politics. The political climate has been cold on gun control for nearly 20 years. Over that amount of time, violent crime has fallen steadily. The number of mass shootings incidents, which are rare to begin with, has fallen as well, even if the media sensationalizes them more than ever. It's never been safer to live in this country in many of our lifetimes.
