Public Land - Brookville Lake

Anybody willing to help a novice? I've read up on most of the rules at Brookville ... primarily sign in, sign out, etc.

I've walked a bunch of the land over the summer, but haven't found much ... Any hints on general "areas"?

Also, how do you tell public from private land? I never found any markers.
