Public Land Shooting

Is there even a place owned by public land dept to get shooting on? Kinda like people on youtube. I am just wondering or do most people just rent land somewhere?

There is no BLM land in Indiana. We have to pay our own way here.

There's land right here in Indiana, the HNF. People shoot all the time, you just have to be familiar with where your bullets are going.

I don't know if us local forest dwellers are any more or less hairy chested that the Westerner's, personally I've seen some folks around here that could pass for bigfoot.

It's always good to have a friend on private land. I got luck with the future brother in law. He has some empty land in the county that's perfect fit it.

No problem. I live in southern Indiana so it is lot more accessible to me. (about 5 miles in each direction)

Also be aware that there are inholdings within the HNF that are private property.

Don't shoot trees, and pick up your garbage. In short, be safe, have fun, and don't be a jerk.
