As a Purdue Alumn and ran in to a few times where I would have been happier to be carrying, I definitely voted in this.

I was there in 1996 when the student at Wiley Hall shot and killed his RA and then later shot himself during the police standoff. I was living off campus then but I can tell you that if I was living there during that, there wouldn't have been anything stopping me from carrying after that.

    Where's the bacon?
I have heard that Mitch is not a gun guy. So it could be a bad thing if he gets involved.

He signed in the legislation allowing you to store your firearms in your car on private business property.... So who knows...

Well in that case he could be a good thing then.

One of my Professors had dinner with Mitch and he said that he wants people around campus to call him Mitch and not Mr. Daniels. I also have heard that he is really big into motorsports so that will be a good thing. There are a couple of auto clubs that could use some of his backing.
Mitch signed legislation making IN the first and only state with a state-issued gun permission slip that doesn't expire until the person it's issued to does.
He also signed preemption and the parking lot law.

Conversely, the State Capitol became a no-carry zone by decree of his Department of Administration, so while he's not 100% pro-gun rights, he does "get it" and I think is probably reliably on our side.

    Oh yeah. I voted, too.

    Blessings,
    Bill
