for saying I was going to do a 20moa base on a 223. :dunno:

    Why wouldn't you:dunno:

Also to people think that a canted base is only good for using more internal travel inside the scope, but a huge thing a 20moa base does for you is it allows you to spend more time in the scopes optical center where abrasion is at its least.

It all depends on the range you intend to spend the most time

I looked at it like this, as long as I can get a 100yd zero.. what is the down fall. This gun will shoot to 500 on a regular basic and past that ( for fun) several times a year. That and it will be my coyote rig and most likely go out on pdog hunt too.. seems like a no brainer to me.

Still have to put the brake on it, but then its ready to roll. Of course now Im already looking at other optics.

Nice gun! It's a Savage so it will shoot very well. I believe that gun is a 9 twist. My 1:9 LRPV loves 69 gr SMKs and Hornady 68 gr BTHPs but also shoot bullets as light as 50 VMax into 1 MOPD (minute of prairie dog). Mine does do better off bags or a rest than a bipod, though. Of course, that could be the driver.

Edit: It has a Bushnell Elite 4200 6-24x40 mildot. Great in the dog towns.

Seems like your scope is awfully high. Other than that looks good! Is there a reason you're putting a brake on it? That's not something I'd like to have on a coyote rifle especially if I was shooting somewhere with a lot of echo.
