I got tired of the cheap caps from butler creek. Decided to get to get Aadland caps for my Nightforces & Razors. They are expensive but compared to the cost of the scopes, not so much.
Aadland always shows "not in stock" so you have to order & then takes several weeks to get them. They are well worth the price to me, i do not worry about them on my scopes. I believe they are lifetime warranted (check on that). They have a clamping screw that secures them to the scope very well.
I did recently try the Vortex Defenders. They are made much better than Butler Creeks. However, when using them recent in subzero weather, on a Razor they were fitted for, they tended to pull off the scope easily instead of flip open. They did do well through the warm weather though. I recently replaced them with Aadland because of this.
Here is a pict from someone else demonstrating how well Aadland caps are.
