Rewatching the classic Blues Brothers right now... it's been quite a while, I completely forgot how many big names this movie had.

Also the practical effects are really good for the time. I've got to look into how they did some of these crazy scenes.

It holds up a lot better than you would think.

Just finished... really good. Probably re-watch again soon with the wife.

Here's "18 fun facts about Blues Brothers" from Mental Floss.

    1. Dan Aykroyd wrote the first draft, and it was 324 pages long.
    2. Belushi was paid twice as much as Aykroyd... $500k vs $250k
    3. Chicago created its own film office for the movie.
    4. The shopping mall car chase was shot in a real mall.
    5. 13 different BluesMobiles were used.
    6. One of the stunt drivers was John Wayne's son.
    7. Dan Aykroyd and Carrie Fisher became engaged during filming... set up by Belushi.
    8. Fisher wasn't the only Star Wars connection.
    9. Part of the movie budget was for... cocaine.
    10. The studio wanted the band who sang "Car Wash" instead of Aretha Franklin.
    11. Charles Napier blames the singers for the movie falling behind schedule.
    12. Paul Reubens has a small role (Pee Wee Herman).
    13. Paul Shaffer was kicked out of the band before the movie.
    14. Belushi crashed at a stranger's house one night.
    15. Belushi hurt himself on a kid's skateboard before filming the big finish.
    16. Some theaters didn't want to show the movie, because it was too long.
    17. It got some bad reviews.
    18. It was really popular in Australia and other parts of the world. Cult classic.

One of my favorite albums of all time.

My personal Aretha favorite. Done it at karaoke more times than I'd like to admit.

Al Sharpton dis-respicted her memory during his eulogy while trying to slam trump

Sharpton misspells 'respect' while quoting Aretha Franklin to Trump - The Hill https://apple.news/AspLY4gm9RmuiinXiAx96ZQ
The guy reminds me (looks too) of some of the mangy mutts that run around Iraqi streets eating trash, dead bodies, whatever. Beyond the point of domestication, an animal out for itself in the truest sense. Not brilliant but smart enough to manipulate others for it's own needs.
