Question about a Saiga and 92r complaiance

    I've been out of the realm of firearms for a good 5 months or so and I'm a bit out of the loop. Do Saiga shotguns made in Russia have to be 92r compliant. My brother did a face to face and the guy handed him what looks like a 20 round magazine for the damn thing. It's the only magazine the guy sold to him and it is detachable. I was under the impression they were supposed to have a magazine with a max round count of 4 per an Indiana Law that I can't seem to recall the IC number.

    Yes, the Saiga 12 is subject to 922r compliance.

    I don't want to be quoted, but I believe the max capacity for a shotgun in "sporter configuration" is 5 rounds. You would need to convert the S12, using parts made in the USA, in order to legally utilized magazines of larger capacities.
