if you use revo uninstall when you uninstall things you shouldn't have registry problems. it gets rid of the dead ends in your registry as you remove programs.

I like Daemon Tools.

It's not so much an optimizer as an easy way of getting in there and cleaning things out before things are a problem.

I use Registry Mechanic as well. Both find different issues.
