How many .458 socom will fit into a 10 round AR mag such as those from Magpul or the like? I would not post such a simple question, but every search I've done just gives me articles and posts about people talking about 10rd 458 mags (normal AR mag) loophole business blah blah blah. I am guessing 5, but someone here has to have actually tried already and knows for sure.

    Thanks.

Magpul mags are a no-no (at least the generation I have) for 458's. The magpul mag has a ridge that runs down the front of the inside of the mag that keeps the follower from tilting. The 458 will not fit.

If you find a magazine that will work, it will likely only hold 3.
