A friend of mine may be considering purchasing a long gun at an upcoming gala and was curious about his situation. They have recently moved and as such haven't changed their address on their LTCH or driver's license. He knows a long gun is much easier than a handgun, but what type of documentation will he need and how can he legally answer the questions and still leave with gun(s) in hand? He anticipates purchasing it from a dealer. He does still have his name on a lease at the Indiana rental home where the LTCH And driver's license are registered, and has not registered to vote based on the new address.

Thanks for the advice. My friend will thank you.

Sounds like the address on his DL may be correct.

Or, he could boogie down to the BMV for a new one?

I would have thunk someone who attends white-tie gunshows could figure this out.

The address on his DL, you say he still has a lease there? Junk mail with his name probably still gets delivered there. He could go spend the night there, were he in dutch with the missus, couldn't he?
