I ran across a new Anderson.223/5.56 stripped lower, that is being sold with a CMMG 308 lower parts kit. Only kit dealer has in-stock right now, and doesn't seem to know when he will get more. Dealer "thinks" it will work, which doesn't sound good to me. And I'm not totally sure either. Wanted to ask the experts, before I do this.

I know some of the newer 308's use the same stuff, but I wanted to know first. has anyone else built a 15 using a 308 parts kit?

    Thanks - David

Trigger group will work, but you will want a better trigger anyhow later. The .308 receiver (pretty sure) is wider than the 5.56 one so I doubt the pivot and tack down pins would work.

Aw yes. I think your correct. pins are probably longer. Thank you very much, I knew I was overlooking something. But just couldn't get my brain to engage.
