The way I understand Indiana law, a person can go to training if they don't have a LTCH.
This comes from the 2 year okld change that allows people without a larry to practice at a range.
    Is that correct?

if you are asking "can i transport a handgun in my vehicle from point a to point b?" then yes as long as the handgun is not loaded and the ammo is in a different location. i may be wrong so let someone else chime in before you do.

If you don't have a LTCH you can transport it easily. Just make sure it is unloaded in the trunk (or out of reach if a pickup) and the ammo stored separately.
