    starting to load for my 223 ar and I've got some cfe223 I want to use could someone run some numbers through quickload form me please

    dpms 16" barrel
    .223
    50 grain vmax
    oal 2.19

    These are .223 Remington loads, which are rated by SAAMI as having lower pressure than 5.56mm ammo for ARs, so I'm sure these loads will be safe.
    Naturally, you'll want to make your first loads with the starting data, then work your way up in increments.

    If I still hunted P-Dogs I'd be looking to get velocities up to buck the wind right to the point where accuracy falls off, you're going to have to work up that load into the 27 grain range to see what your rifle likes best and that's closing in on the pressure ceiling of 55K.

    You're giving up quite a bit of gas pressure to that short 16" barrel to realize the full potential of the round, but it should easily make better than 920m/s and still be under the pressure ceiling.
