When I quit drinking, I just quit. I was pretty motivated on that one.

Waking up cradled in the arms of a large female primate in the Louisville Zoo Gorilla Forest exhibit had to be a great motivator.....Last time we were there she slipped me a note asking me to ask you why you never called????

I told her you're married now in sign and she began beating her chest and signing "WHY?" over and over again....

I quit for 18 months ...this was 8 years ago. I wanted to quit. I went cold turkey. I told everyone and their mother (I worked for a large company)...they helped keep me accountable. The first 2 weeks were the hardest. I still craved one daily for that entire 18 months. My brother from another mother indiucky said it exactly how I'd put it (when inevitably asked why I started again? ) "...I just love the cursed things."
