Anyone have the best way to keep rabbits the heck out of my landscaping?
I was just working outside and they have eaten my roses/hostas/myrtle almost to the ground in some spots.
I'm mostly looking for something I can put in the mulch or around the edging to keep them OUT.

Most of the farm type stores i.e. Rural King,Farm& Fleet,Big R,etc has better pricing on the same products as Menards,Lowes, etc and they do work well keeping animals out of any areas you want protected. We had to use the stuff to keep cats out of the garbage and off the apt property.

I have found that the combination of 1) my wife, and 2) a .22 cal Benjamin-Sheridan air rifle is particularly lethal to rabbits ;)

I agree with ATM....a Python will take of rabbits, cats, squirrels, possums, just about anything really. :D :yesway:

Seriously, they are hungry. Make the food of choice less appetizing. I have used Tabasco sauce in a 50-50 mix spray bottle on the shrubs of apartment complexes I used to work for that did the trick. Usually only takes a few times in the spring time and they find better tasting stuff to eat. Or get a live catch trap at Rural king and when you get one find someone like ME who will take them off your hands.

Can I set up invisible fencing for a python? Ya know, just let him loose with an invisible fence collar or something just sliding around my flower beds!
I would love to see my neighbors faces, especially!!

Anyone have the best way to keep rabbits the heck out of my landscaping?

I ran over two nights ago. Does that count?

At first I thought it was a cat and had to go back and see if I needed to take it to the side of the road or look for an owner. Felt really bad about it too.

Then I found out it was a rabbit. Figured it would be dinner for the cat...

Sometimes I find my husband gently accelerating when he sees one......
Thanks for helping diminish the pop! They're about as bad as chipmunks. Ugh.

I keep a rabbit in a cage lol. I bought it for my girlfriend it's getting fat.

On another note, yes cats will take care of the rabbits, my Mom's cat's have brought home hundreds of rabbit/bird/squirrel heads over the years. They leave them on the front porch, perhaps as a gift?
