Rail covers are a PITA!

VERY hard to get on! I ended up sticking them in the microwave for a little over a minute. They went right on then! My microwave stunk for a long time, but it was worth it!

I've also heard that letting them soak in warm/hot water for a few minutes does the trick.

I towel dry. Just like a real man.


I really tried the hair dryer. It just took a little long to heat. Th microwave worked awesome. Highly recommended!

I like to use the hair dryer after a shower. Allthough on my chest it looks like a helicopter landing in a wheat field.

I got the Magpul XTM covers and although they look cool, they are a PIA to remove. They install rather easy but you have to almost ruin them when you try to take them off. I also didn't like the way they felt being hard plastic and eventually opted to replace them with the stock rubber ladders that came with my M&P.

I've never had a problem with KAC rail covers. They slide right on.

I didnt have to heat my Magpul covers to get them on. It wasnt easy but all of the swearing made the time pass quickly.
